How he changed my life

Image
When I first started work,  I got tired on the first day. I would look at the clock and follow it's every tick to my closing hour.  I thought work was supposed to be fun and exciting, but mine was the zero-fun zone. I survived the first week, hoping and praying that the time I would spend there would quickly come to an end. And there he was a shining glimmer of a star, he walked through the door and brought light into the raves of darkness looming all over me.  From the first day he came, my workplace, with it's fading existence and thick, suffocating air, became the most comfortable place. He sent laughter into every room, he was so full of happiness and joy. My fading soul came alive again, seeking to grasp the full breadth of life.  And I felt like I was exactly where I wanted to be. I felt relieved, I felt happy, and I saw another bright perspective to the place. Although I never got the chance to say thank you for a difference you made without even k...

Tips to write better

Image
I used to think writing was about putting together big words and vocabularies, but as I started writing,  I realized that writing wasn't all about that. Anytime I dive into a post filled with so many words that are foreign to me, I quickly lose interest.  The words overwhelm me, they hit my head from all directions  and I would quickly make a quirky U-turn.  Writing isn't just about being generous with your words.  it's about knowing the right words to use at the right time and in the right occasion. It's best to write in the simplest way, with the most simple  manner, to convey the message effectively and enhance better  understanding.  Writing is beautiful, it shows who you are. It should be beautifully crafted in its most authentic version, sending the message across with  the most genuine intent.

mental health, empathy, care, relationship

Image
There's a fine, tiny line between mental stability and instability.  Mental health can deteriorate, and anyone can be affected.  It's not just about extreme behaviour. Like the people we see on the road, that needs very prompt attention from the government.  It can manifest in various ways. Unfortunately, people often overlook or downplay mental health symptoms due to ignorance or negligence .  Mental health challenges can be as a result of Genetics, trauma, abuse.  It can manifest as changes in mood, do you have bizarre mood changes, difficulty coping with stress, and impaired relationships? I've heard many cases of people ending up in a psychiatric ward after a break up.  Don't make a relationship your whole life; look for other hobbies. Know that people come and people go,accept it and move on. Life goes on. It can manifest as physical symptoms like changes in sleep cycle, appetites, and so on. Guard your mental health. Is there anything that sets you up...

Letting go

Image
Letting go Maybe it's time to let go, To let it swirl away with the wind, The sadness, the pain, and the worries, Shackles that hold you to your knees. There's beauty in this world, in its greenery, The shiny rays of the sunset, The cool glides of the evening breeze as it swirls  The little beautiful things, An ambience of innocence - A  perfect picture. Look through the window Into the golden rays of the  morning sunshine  That solace of peace and solitude. That peace that nourishes the soul Let it drive away the flaky paths of your heart, Healing it with its gentle touch, A  divine rebirth of the soul. Let it fill your heart with deep happiness.  Happiness without bounds that lives in those.  Who have left the shackles of this world And chases peace

My Chicken trauma

Image
“ My chicken trauma”  If we look back,  I guess it wasn't long ago.  My unfriendly experience with a two-legged animal with a beak.  Before that, I was good friends with the chicken race, I loved them, their crunchy, crispy taste on my plate when fried into perfection. Even with the trauma, I don't think that love can ever die. I was twelve when it happened. A young girl with promising hopes. Well, not that promising . I just wanted to go on an errand sent by my mother and come back in peace. But I was met with something different:  "The fight of an angry chicken" . Early that morning, when my mother told me I was to help with an errand, I wasn't very happy. Then she said the magic word” the Adegoroye family”. That rang a bell in my head.  My crush lived there. My very handsome, tall, "tomato lips" Peterson. I had loved him with all my heart, he was my everything. Well, I guess that was then. On entering the compound, I  scanned the surroun...

How to overcome body odour

Image
Body Odour: The Unfair Stigma Don't blame the person, blame the body! Before judging or blaming someone with body odor, consider the possible reasons behind it. Body odor is often a sign of an underlying medical condition or poor hygiene habits. People with body odor often suffer from anxiety, low self-confidence, and social discomfort. According to dermatologist Dr. Doris Day, body odor primarily occurs when bacteria on the skin break down sweat, especially in areas with more sweat glands, like the armpits. While everyone has a natural body scent, Dr. Day explains that factors such as diet, hygiene, clothing, and health conditions can all influence body odor. By keeping the skin clean, using antiperspirants or deodorants, and wearing breathable fabrics, body odor can often be managed effectively. Body odor can be caused by various factors, including: Poor hygiene habits : This could mean inadequate washing of the body, wearing unclean clothes, and more. When bathing, s...

Overthinking and failed relationships

“ Believe me when I say many relationships have ended due to overthinking ”. Your partner sends you a harmless message, and you interpret it negatively because you're an overthinker  So sad, right?  Today, when your friend, who usually greets you, didn't, you assume they're being proud. But have you considered that they might be preoccupied with their own issues and didn't have the mental space to say hello?  Have you tried reaching out to your friend before jumping to conclusions? We are so quick to label someone an enemy, when most of the time, we are in fact our own enemy  While thinking and reflection are essential, overthinking can be harmful. It's crucial to strike a balance between thinking and action.  Everyone overthinks - we ponder what to wear, what to eat, and how to make decisions, among other things.     The numerous choices and decisions can cloud our minds. However, if left unchecked, overthinking can have negative consequence...
